Dr. Barsoumian is a Double Fellowship trained surgeon – having completed a Burn Surgery Fellowship in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the prestigious Nassau County Firefighter’s Burn Center of the Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY. Prior to completing this advanced training in Burn and Plastic Surgery, Dr. Barsoumian successfully completed a Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at the Center for Advanced Surgical Specialties of North Shore – Long Island Jewish Health System (Syosset Hospital).

Do Hair Transplants Hurt?

At Precision Hair Restoration, your procedure is performed under a local anesthetic, so you will be conscious and completely comfortable throughout the entire procedure. After the procedure, there might be a little mild discomfort and swelling for 1-3 days that can easily be treated with over-the-counter pain relievers.

Is a Hair Transplant The Only Way to Treat Hair Loss?

No, we have a variety of non-surgical hair restoration treatments, in addition to surgical. During your free consultation, we’ll evaluate and diagnosis the reason behind your hair loss and present a customized treatment plan, based on the cause for the hair loss, the stage of hair loss, and your overall hair restoration goals.

How Long Does a Hair Transplant Take?

time It depends upon how many hair follicles are being transplanted, but 4 to 8 hours is a good estimate. You will be completely comfortable the entire time, and even have a lunch break. Many of our patients watch a movie or listen to music during the procedure so the time passes as pleasantly as possible.

It also allows for a customized, precision hairline design. NeoGraft is another FDA-cleared, robot-assisted method for FUE hair restoration. This proven robot automates the follicular unit extraction (FUE) process, making it more efficient and less invasive. NeoGraft procedures generally take a less time than ARTAS iXi procedures.
